Frequently Asked Questions

Assessment Ages

We would recommend that you take your child for their first orthodontic evaluation when they are between 7–10 years old.

Orthodontic Problems

  • Malocclusion
  • Spacing
  • Crowding
  • Impacted speech

Is the treatment expensive?

Cost may vary depending on the type of treatment required. Private health rebates may be available,
depending on level of cover. If you would like to discuss payment plan options with our friendly team, we have
solutions available through DentiCare.

At what age should treatment start?

It is dependant on the malocclusion.
An initial consultation is best performed at the arrival of the first permanent molar at approximately 6 years of age.

When to start will depend on the complexity of the case

In some cases, pre-orthontic treatment (Phase 1) is applicable which in the majority of cases will reduce more complex work at the later stages of the orthodontic treatment.
