We are thrilled to announce that Dr Ranu Acharya, a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Periodontist, has joined the Harley Dental team. With over 15 years of experience both in Australia and internationally, Dr Acharya brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our practice.

Dr Acharya has worked in public hospitals, private clinics, and universities across Victoria, Queensland, and South Australia. She earned her Primary Dental Surgery qualification in 2005 and completed her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry with distinction in Periodontics from Griffith University in 2022. Her influential research on dental implant survival rates, published in the International Journal of Biomedical and Advance Research, underscores her commitment to advancing the field of periodontics.

Specialising in managing periodontal disease, soft tissue grafting, hard tissue augmentation, and implant dentistry, Dr Acharya is known for her empathetic approach and use of advanced technologies to enhance periodontal health. She has a keen interest in investigating the links between periodontal disease, general health, and conditions like diabetes.

Dr Acharya’s extensive expertise and dedication to patient care make her a distinguished professional in periodontics. Her commitment to her patients and the field is evident through her clinical practice, research, and active participation in professional organisations. Dr Acharya holds numerous qualifications and is an active member of several prestigious dental associations, including the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP), the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP), and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
